Holy Derby preps, Batman! Undefeated New York-bred Giant Moon has been haunting the past performances of several of this year's Triple Crown hopefuls, and this Saturday, he'll have to defend his winning streak in the Grade 3, $250,000, Gotham Stakes. A field of ten is set for March 8th at Aqueduct. Among the other contenders hoping the one-mile race will advance them on the 2008 Kentucky Derby trail are the villainous Visionaire, trained by Michael Matz; the rougueish Roman Emperor, trained by Steve Klesaris; the sinister Saratoga Russell, trained by Richard Violette; and the always freshly laundered Larry's Revenge, trained by Nick Zito. Batman himself, Todd Pletcher, comes to the Gotham with three wonderful toys; Texas WIldcatter, Southern Terminus, and Holidaze.
You can watch and wager on the 56th running of the Gotham Stakes with free PPs for any track you play at TwinSpires.
