In 2007, Rags To Riches became the first filly in 102 years to win the Belmont Stakes, Jockey Garrett Gomez broke Jerry Bailey's record for number of stakes won in the same year, and trainer Todd Pletcher broke his own North American earnings record with Thoroughbreds like The Leopard, and eventual Eclipse winning Three-Year-Old Filly Champion Rags to Riches, Turf Male Champion English Channel, and Older Male Champion Lawyer Ron. And although Bob Baffert's hair still goes unrecognized by the Eclipse Awards as the Best Mane in Horse Racing, his trainee Midnight Lute took home the award for Champion Male Sprinter, and Indian Blessing won Champion Two-Year-Old Filly. Here are the other winners.
