Mid-priced Flashy Bull, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, defeated the favorites in the Grade 1 Stephen Foster Handicap field. Robby Albarado was the winning jockey. Magna Graduate was second, followed by Diamond Stripes, who is beaten the first time in his fifth start. Jonesboro completes the superfecta. The final time for the 1 1/8 mile was 1:48.63. The winner paid $14.20, the $2 Exacta paid $63.20, the $2 Trifecta paid $227.40, and the $2 Superfecta was worth $3,579.80. Hey, with a name like "Flashy Bull", he has to be good.
 
Chelokee wins Native Dancer Breeders Cup Print E-mail

Under Ramon Dominguez, Michael Matz trainee Chelokee won the Grade 3 Native Dancer Stakes by a neck over willing foe Zanjero on Saturday. Sam P. was third. Going off as the favorite, Chelokee paid $4.00. The final time for the  11/8 mile was 1:42.46.

Too Tough to beat Tiz's Sis in Hollywood Breeders Cup Oaks Print E-mail

With Aaron Gryder on board, Winstar Oaks winner Tough Tiz's Sis captured the 1 1/16 mile Hollywood Breeders Cup Oaks for winning trainer Bob Baffert on Sunday. Eight entries shrank to a field of only five, with Silver Swallow finishing second by about 3 1/4 lengths. Longshot High Cholesterol was third, Follow the Clues was fourth. The winner paid $6.40. The $1 Exacta paid $5.20, the $1 Trifecta $29.30, and the $1 Superfecta paid $76.30.

After Market defeats Lava Man in Whittingham Print E-mail

The Grade 1 Charles Whittingham Memorial Handicap run at 1 1/4 miles over turf was captured by Alex Solis and After Market on Saturday. Lava Man was second, followed by Obrigado. A win on After Market paid $6.80. The $1 Exacta paid $7.20, the $1 trifecta $30.50.
