In Santa Anita's Grade III sprint for fillies and mares Saturday, longshot Hello Lucky ran down the 8-5 favorite Selvatica to take a one length victory. Hello Lucky paid back $68.60 for every two dollars bet on her to win.

In a 1 1/8 mile allowance at Gulfstream Park on Thursday, English Channel beat the track record by 0.18 and nearly broke the world record set by Kostroma at Santa Anita in 1991.

Silver Wagon wins the General George Print E-mail

Silver Wagon and Edgar Prado drew off to a 1 1/4 length victory at Laurel Park's Grade II General George on President's Day. The race was run at seven furlongs, the same distance Silver Wagon captured his two previous graded stakes victories over.
