Dubai World Cup winner and Horse of the Year Invasor worked four furlongs in 48.91 at Belmont Park on Saturday, June 2nd. Invasor is getting ready to repeat the Suburban Handicap on June 30th.
Trainer Kiaran McLaughlin says that stablemate Jazil, who won last year's Belmont stakes, is also pointed to the Suburban, but only one of the horses will run, the other likely to instead try the Hollywood Gold Cup on the same day. In May, Invasor's first post-World-Cup work was four furlongs in 50:80, followed the next week by a bullet four furlongs in 48.10 --fastest of 30.
